I remembered one VSO volunteer from Uganda (yes, Mama Africa also sends volunteers :P) mentioning riding planes are much more environmental friendly than traveling long hours by Land or Sea.. considering the amount of carbon its emitting, planes only emits smoke in such short time than by driving long hours on the road.
He’s got a point. But since I’m no environment expert, I googled, and I got more confused xD. Ultimately, riding trains are much more eco friendly. Cant wait for railway travels in the Visayas xD..
And since I’m backpacking the Visayas region at the moment by land and sea, I will need to make sure to ride a bicycle (or walk) at one point to help mother Earth retain its green.

One friend explained to me as well that carbon footprints are much higher when you travel by plane. I too thought that it was much eco friendly until some one explained to me…. so I make it a point that whenever I can, specially here in Luzon I travel by land…
