Travel Tip: Travel with a purpose

After my plane landed from Bangkok to Pampanga, Philippines at 3 in the morning, I was greeted by mom and relatives and after we ate at Jollibee, we were already driving to Pangasinan.

So we were in Pangasinan not only to visit the Manaoag Church and eat the famous puto in Calasiao but to also visit the uncle and auntie of my mom in Mangaldan…

After which we head back home to Laguna. Being in Pampanga, Pangasinan, and Laguna in one day right after you landed from Bangkok resulted in stiff neck though xD

Then I was in Tagaytay recently, not only to see the smallest volcano named Taal but also to visit my friends from the focolare movement who influenced me a lot to trek the road less travelled.

Then I was in the concrete jungle called Metro Manila to hunt for coffee shops.. was quite disappointed to not see a perfect replica of my favorite coffee shops in Chiang mai though.

And of course Im spending time most in Laguna because Im spending it with mum and supporting a startup foundation at my local village… I just could not believe a neighbor in my REMOTE village has gone to Burma when she was younger too! Aside from that, she went to Russia (and all countries I havent been yet xD)…

Yes its nice to travel just to travel. But at the moment, I go to a place where I can have many purpose so my carbon footprint is worth it.

Why not travel with a purpose too? ^_^
